Holy Week 2026 at Revival Life Church

Don’t Sleepwalk Through Holy Week

We are preparing to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus, the very center of our faith. And we don’t want to just wander into this season and miss what God has for us. This year, we are preparing our hearts with a full week of prayer, fasting, and devotion, beginning Palm Sunday, March 29, and building toward Resurrection Sunday, April 5.

This is also one of the greatest opportunities you have to bring somebody with you. Think about who in your life needs to encounter the risen Jesus and just invite them.

What Is Holy Week?

Holy Week is the final week of Lent, beginning on Palm Sunday and concluding on Resurrection Sunday. It is the most sacred week in the Christian calendar, the week in which we trace the final days of Jesus before the cross and walk together toward the empty tomb.

Each day carries its own significance. Palm Sunday recalls the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem, when the crowds welcomed him as king. Holy Monday and Tuesday mark his teaching in the temple. Wednesday calls to mind the anointing at Bethany, an act of extravagant devotion that Jesus said would be remembered forever. Holy Thursday is the night of the Last Supper, when Jesus washed his disciples’ feet and broke bread with them for the final time. Good Friday is the day of the crucifixion, the day Jesus gave his life as the atoning sacrifice for sin. Holy Saturday is the day of waiting and silence. And Resurrection Sunday is the day that changed everything: the tomb is empty, death is defeated, and new life has begun.

We don’t just observe these events as history. We enter them as people who have been transformed by them. Holy Week is an invitation to slow down, to fast, to pray, and to let the weight and the wonder of the gospel land fresh in our hearts before we gather to celebrate on Sunday morning.

A Week of Prayer and Fasting

Fasting is the act of setting aside food so that we become hungry for God. When we fast together as a church, we create space to hear His voice and position ourselves to encounter His presence. We put together a complete Holy Week Guide with the full schedule, daily devotions for each day of the week, and a practical fasting guide to help you.

Ready for Something New?

On Resurrection Sunday we are also launching a brand new series — Ready for Something New — where we dig into the keys the Bible gives us to unlock the new life God has promised us.

Church, let’s not sleepwalk through Holy Week. Let’s posture our hearts, sharpen our hunger, and step into Resurrection Sunday expecting an encounter with the living God.

We love you and can’t wait to do this with you.
