In this Sunday’s Communion message, Pastor Carl talked about the importance of encountering God. The encounter with God marked Moses to face Pharaoh as one who could see the unseen. It inspired Abraham to seek the city whose builder and maker was God. And it caused the disciples to read the Old Testament in a way that showed Jesus was the point of the story.
We need to make times in Communion, at the altar, and in our prayer closets to encounter God and carry His mark into the world. We will know we have encounter God by some of the known effects we read in the Bible.
When we encounter God he will send us to others. He will challenge our insecurities. But He will also send us in power. But we won’t see that power until we take up His charge to serve others.
